My first day was on Saturday and it started out with just the Six Flags orientation. Then one of my supervisors came down and was like, well we didn't know you were starting today, but why don't you come on up haha. So I got the tour of the different marine mammal areas and then I joined my new team! I will be working in the dolphin encounter program with several dolphins, including a brand new baby named Mirabella who was just born in January and is the most adorable and precious baby ever! I will also be working with 2 sea lions and 3 walruses (including "Jocko" from 50 First Dates haha), so it will be a pretty cool experience for me getting to work with pinnipeds and learning about walrus training!

Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked about my new gig! And as an added bonus, I got hired on as a trainer level (whereas I was an assistant trainer at my last job) so I am moving up on the professional ladder! Woohoo!!!
