Wish I was in Mammoth

For our family reunion this weekend!!! The only downside to this job is being thousands of miles away from family. :(

As for what's been happening at work, sorry I haven't really updated, but it hasn't really been anything too exciting the past two weeks. Just learning the ropes, doing fish prep every day, and learning how to set up for the shows. I'll post again when it gets a bit more exciting. haha Anyways, it's still pretty cool to see how these kinds of dolphin shows are run from behind the scenes!

All settled in Georgia!

Last week, my dad and I made the cross country journey to Atlanta! The drive wasn't too interesting, but we made some fun stops along the way...

After a short stop in Alabama to visit my aunt and uncle and cousins, and 11 different states, we finally made it to our destination!!!!


My apartment complex is super cute and I am living with another girl who works on the dolphin show! I spent the weekend shopping and decorating my new room with some of my favorite things from home (and spent 3 hours building a dresser from Target with my dad haha)! The only bad thing is that this is the first time in my life that I don't have cable!!! Time to start watching more movies and TV on DVD!


Today was my first day at the Georgia Aquarium! It was pretty much just orientation and stuff, but I did get to see up above the main tank and see whale sharks and giant manta rays! I also got shown around the dolphin exhibit and met a bunch of the trainers! I will post more about that later this week after I have actually finally started working!!!

Atlanta or Bust!

Well, it's the first day of my cross-country road trip to Atlanta! Nothing like 2,475 miles through the beautiful US of A! I just hope my little VW Beetle can handle that much driving! And that my dad can handle my road trip games and radio singalongs! hahaha

Here's the route we are going to take! Tonight's destination is Salt Lake City, Utah!



This time next week I'll be all moved in to my apartment and getting ready to start working at the Georgia Aquarium!!! :)
