yay i'm home for summer

this morning i woke up at 8:30 when my lovely sister decided to jump on top of me and yell "WAKE UP!" it reminded me of when she was a little kid and used to wake me up by peeling open my eyelids and shining a flashlight in them. hahaha. anyways, now i'm off to take a shower and go shopping. even though i'm completely broke and have no money (i guess that was kind of redundant since broke means having no money), so i'll just be trailing around her watching her spend all her graduation money. maybe she'll buy me an ice cream cone or something. but probably not. hahaha.

i'm so ready for summer

i have a chem midterm in an hour, and i'm probably going to fail it. ugh. seriously, why am i having a midterm 9th week? there's only one more week of class until finals, why not just wait to test us until then!? what are we going to learn in only 4 more classes? i hate having school right now cause it seems like literally every other person on the planet is already on summer vacation. thank god that i will be done with finals in exactly two weeks! then i'm off to the cayman islands with my family for a week. i can't wait for this quarter to be over and for summer to finally start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love fish

i'm so glad i'm a marine biology major, even though its going to get me nowhere in the future. its just great to be able to learn about stuff i really like. tonight i have a field trip for my Biology of Vertebrates class. we are going to an aquarium around 8, and then to the beach to see the Grunion Run. thats when all the grunion fish come onto the sand to mate and lay thier eggs. supposedly its pretty exciting. i've always wanted to go see it, but i just have never got around to it. now im going to go see it for school credit! yay! granted, i have to take my molecular biology midterm first at 5 (a subject i hate and could care less about) but at least i have something fun to look foward to after all. i can't wait until next year when i am all done with boring horrible lower division classes (except for physics. i still have to take 3 classes of that. boo.) and i can just take all cool upper division classes that i really want to take. well, back to studying DNA, RNA and proteins. oh joy.

i guess crying to the ta isn't such a bad thing...

So originally the head TA that i talked to said that i couldnt take the exam that conflicts with Nicole's graduation early or late, since it has to be set up and its an ordeal and blah blah blah. But he did say that there was a chance that we could start it earlier, at like 4 or 5, rather than 6, depending on if enough people in the class were interested. So today in lab when i mentioned the situation to my TA, he was like oh that was you!? (so obviously the TAs talked about the crazy girl crying on the first day of class. haha) And then he said the head TA had already asked his sections if people were willing to start the exam earlier in the day, and they were. So now I dont have to worry about it so much, since we'll just be starting it earlier!!! Although i still might be late, but at least i'll get there. The moral of this story is that if you cry on the first day it makes the TA feel bad for you and actually gets the test changed. hahahahaha.

back to school

Spring quarter has begun yet again. Oh joy.

So I think I know what it feels like to be depressed. I was depressed yesterday and I had tears brimming on my eyes all day. Not to mention the fact I started crying talking to the TA, the hour long sob fest I had on the phone with my dad, and the mini sobfest I had while talking to Yoav. I pretty much had the worst day ever. It started with my dad calling me at 8:30 in the morning to tell me that I had left the heater in the spa on for 4 days, and I was going to have to pay 500-1000 dollars, based on the gas bill. Then in my biology of vertebrates class I found out that I have a lab exam worth 20% of my grade at the same time as my sister's high school graduation. That crushed me and I was sooooooo upset, since Nicole is sooooo important to me, not to mention that (in her own words) she'd kill me with her bare hands if I missed her graduation. Then on top of that I got my first C ever in my life science class. I was pretty much just depressed the entire day.

Luckily today was much better. I only had one hour of class and it was just a math discussion. Then I flyered for my sorority for two hours and just chatted with my friends. I ate a whole pint of cookie dough ice cream. :) And I ate dinner, did random stuff and watched last week's Lost. So overall, today was not a depressing day.

Only 10 more weeks until summer vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jolly good morning

First "official" day of spring break, not counting the weekend, since that was technically still last week, and now this is this week. Didn't really do anything exciting this week, excepting watch tv, lay out by my pool and tan for hours (and get burnt on areas that I missed sunscreen), and read The Other Bolyn Girl. I'm not generally a fan of historical fiction, but I really like this book. It's so full of sex, adultry, pregnacy and scandal...just my type of book. Hahahaha. But seriously, its pretty good, I've got about 500 out of 700 pages read, so still 200 more to go. Although its not like I don't already know how it ends- Anne Bolyn getting beheadded, duh. (Sorry to all you people that don't know English history and I just ruined the ending for you.) Today is going to be another rather boring day. My sister is at school and my parents are gone, so it's just me. I need to go take a shower, I look horrid. Haha. Eventually I need to go to the bank and deposit some checks, so that I can pay my massive credit card bill. Then I have a dentist appointment at 2:30, so that should be fun, not. The highlight of my day will be watching GREEK at 8, since it finally comes back!!!! Yay! I love that show. Even though some people are like "it shows greek life in a bad light, and plays up frat/sorority stereotypes," I'm just like whatevs its funny.

Boo you finals.

So finals are coming up this week. I've got my organic chem lab on Wednesday 3-6, my history of religion on Thursday 3-6 and right after that my life science class 6:30-9:30. Shoot me please. Luckily I already had my stats final last week, so at least that's one less that I have to worry about studying for. Even though I have so much to study, I can't help procrastinating and am definately wasting tons of time. (i.e. writing this blog right now.) I've been "studying" since 10 am, and all I've done is read 3 chapters from my life science book. Every few pages I grab the computer and check facebook/myspace/blogs/perezhilton/dlisted/UCLAdirt/juicycampus and whatever else comes up. It's a horrible addiction. I think I just need to turn off my computer so I can get some actual work done. Also, it doesn't help that the weather is so nice and I just want to go outside or to the beach or something, rather than sit inside and study.

SEAWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today Yoav and I went to Seaworld for my birthday!!!! It was seriously so much fun! I defiantely achieved my life dream to pet a dolphin!!!! I had to like elbow little children out of the way so I could get to the tank to pet them, but it was soooo awesome! Yoav bought me some fish to feed the dolphins, so I got to feed them too!!! It was like the happiest moment of my life. haha. thats sad. Anywho, now I'm back home, trying to do my stupid chem homework, and I just want to go back to Seaworld! Also, I have a horrible sunglasses sunburn on my face and a giant necklace sunburn on my chest, but it was so worth it! :)

Woo-Hoo a Blog!

Yay I made a blog. I don't really know what to write in it. I hate this weather. Its so gloomy. I wish it was sunny like last week. Tonight Yoav and I are going out for Valentine's Day (yes i am aware that it was last week, but we just haven't had time to go out yet). We are going to eat dinner somewhere at Citywalk and I'm dragging him to see Definately, Maybe. So that's my day in a nutshell. I think I'll go watch an episode of Degrassi online now.
