Searching for a Hobby

So lately I've been feeling "un-well-rounded." What I mean by that is that sometimes I feel like I should be doing something else in my free time besides just watching TV all the time. I've felt like I needed a hobby, and (don't judge me when I say this) I even stooped so low as to google "Hobbies" and look at a list of 200+ possible hobbies. hahahaha Even though I've never been artistic, a few days ago I just woke up and felt like painting a picture, which sounds silly. I told my friends from work, and they were like, ummm maybe try something easier. haha But this morning after going to the gym I decided to go to Michaels and just figured, what the heck, let's give it a shot! So I bought a bunch of paint, a few small canvases and some brushes, settled down in front of Law and Order: SVU, and tried to paint! Here are my 3 small paintings!

I know they are no major works of art or anything, but I'm pretty proud of them considering it was my first time painting!

I'm also going to try to exercise more, not to get skinny, but just to be more physically fit! Since the LA Fitness is literally 2 blocks away from my apartment, its hard to make excuses not to go. So besides the occasional yoga class, I've also started going to this class called Body Works plus Abs, which is kind of like an aerobics class with weights. Its actually kind of fun even though its mostly middle aged ladies. haha

If anyone has suggestions for fun things to do in my free time, I'm all ears! :)

What matters is that you had a good time painting them, regardless of how they turned out! That's what a hobby is all about! :P

1. I love that you combined painting with watching television.
2. I like your creations.
3. I am finding a TON of inspiration on pinterest.com. I am in the middle of a very large crayon art project. It's truly dummy art. You can't mess it up. I would suggest looking there for art ideas-all kinds.
4. I know exactly what you are talking about when you say that you're missing something. The projects that I've been finding have gotten me really excited about what I'm doing again.
